HEADING INTO THE NEW YEAR

We have turned the corner on Christmas and we are heading into the new year.   I do not know when I have had a Christmas that was this much fun-filled and so meaningful.  The Advent Conspiracy works for me and fits my basic intention for the flow and direction of my life.  I want to be completely out of debt and as much as possible live a cash-based existence.

GOD’S WARNING IN 2009

I got up this morning and continued to hear God warn about the economy in 2009.  The words from Sunday’s sermon – God will appear in a dream and show you the way out reverberate in my heart.   God showed the Wise Men that they needed to avoid Herod and go home by another way.  With that in my heart and mind, I saw that the banks that got the government bailout re

more time

I told my husband all I wanted for christmas was some real cute house slippers and more quality time with him. I bought the book "Love Dare" the forty day diary from the movie Fireproof. The thrill of house slippers will last all of two days, but I want the thrill of my husband to last forever.

Being Family When No One Else Is Family

Pastor Thomas,I believe it was nobody but God that laid it on your heart regarding family, you hit that on the head. So many families are hurting. The structure that once was is no more. It is not only absent in my family but in most of my friends, neighbors and co-workers who sit and discuss their family relations.

Misdirected Giving!

Pastor Frank you really hit a home-run with the Advent Conspiracy and Acknowleging that most of our giving is MISDIRECTED. I hope that we all give to those in need not just on Christmas but through-out the year.

A SEASON OF GIVING

At out workplace this Christmas Season, we started out giving at Thanksgiving - in lieu of bringing food for a feast, we opted to bring bags of non-perishable food items and donated them to be given out to needy people (mostly for those who are homeless). For Christmas, we are giving items to our MIFA recipients.
